In Upper (Ano) – Elounda, Crete, exactly where was filmed the famous TV-Series “The Island” (Spinalonga), based on the novel of Victoria Hislop, is found the ELOUNDA TRADITIONAL ART SUITES, one little residential complex, that is completely restricted. The construction of the 18nth century complex, as the rest in Ano Elounda buildings, are, all, made from stone and wood, with internal yard, according to a security system typology of the Venetians, when Crete was still a part of the Serenaded Democracy of Venice.
The ELOUNDA TRADITIONAL ART SUITES is composed of three residences and one studio. They are completely independent (one from the other), around the internal yard, with balconies and terraces, viewing to the magical hills and see of Elounda. The residences are all, constructed with particular attention and with the desire to reconstruct all their parts according to the tradition of the historical past. The only purpose is to create the atmosphere of continuation between their internal and external parts, between the building construction, the rest village and the magnificent landscape. From the other part, the modern commodities are not missing. In our apartments anyone can find modern kitchens, satellite TV, air condition and wireless internet.
The fraction ELOUNDA TRADITIONAL ART SUITES, in the small village of Ano Elounda is constructed in front of an enormous rock named Afendis Christos and is very well visible inside. Indeed, the way that the apartments are structed, offers the possibility to be autonomous or to have company because of the one common court. The apartments are one near to the other and so, they are an ideal place for a company of friends or for families that want to have vacations together, two steps from the sea.
